Meet the Staff

Pastor Peter Lindeman
Pastor/Principal/Catechism 6-8
Pastor Lindemann is a 1996 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He has served Zion as pastor since then.

In these years he has also served as Zion's principal time and again, and has been Circuit Pastor since 2006.
Pastor Lindemann has been married to his wife, Kris, since 1993 and they have been blessed with 4 sons. Pastor Lindemann enjoys playing basketball and watching his sons play baseball when he has the opportunity.

Mrs. Kris Lindeman
Support Teacher
Mrs. Lindemann graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She has been in Door County for the past 25 years and taught Kindergarten for 17 years.

Mrs. Lindemann has been married to Pastor Lindemann, who is Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in West Jacksonport and Christ Lutheran Church in Liberty Grove. One of her favorite activities is watching her boys play baseball. She also enjoys going for walks, reading, and watching movies.

Mrs. Lindemann grew up wanting to be a teacher and loves working with Jesus’ lambs of any age! Her favorite Bible verses are from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Mrs. Courtney Mitchell
Kindergarten
Mrs. Mitchell graduated from Martin Luther College in 2021 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. The past two years she served as 2nd grade teacher at St. Marcus in Milwaukee and 6-8 English at Peace Lutheran in Hartford. When she is not teaching she enjoys spending time with her family and trying new restaurants.

Vicar Ryan Mitchell
Catechism Grades 5-6
Vicar studies under Pastor Lindeman and teaches Catechism to grades 4 and 5.

Mrs. Betsy Ploor
Early Childhood Director
Betsy is responsible for the daily operations of the Zion Luther Early Childhood Center.

Early Childhood Teacher
Jen works hands on with the children on a daily basis.
