PASTOR PETER LINDEMANN
Pastor/ Catechism 7-8
Pastor Lindemann is a 1996 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He has served Zion as pastor since then.
In these years he has also served as Zion's principal time and again, and has been Circuit Pastor since 2006.
Pastor Lindemann has been married to his wife, Kris, since 1993 and they have been blessed with 4 sons. Pastor Lindemann enjoys playing basketball and watching his sons play baseball when he has the opportunity.
MR. STEPHEN ROEKLE
Principal/ Grades 5-8
Mr. Roekle graduated from MLC in 2016 with a Bachelors Degree in Education and was assigned to Zion where he has taught since graduating.
Mr. Roekle's parents live in Racine, WI and he has three brothers, one who is a principal in Illinois, one a salesman in Milwaukee, and one who attends MLC.
When not in the classroom, Mr. Roekle enjoys playing and watching sports, traveling, and reading.
Mr. Roekle's favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:38-39, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
MRS. KRIS LINDEMANN
Mrs. Kris Lindemann teaches Kindergarten at Zion Lutheran School.
Mrs. Lindemann graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught Kindergarten through Second Grade in Pompano Beach, Florida for one year and then taught Third through Fifth Grade in West Bend, Wisconsin for two years. She have been in Door County for the past 22 years and have been teaching Kindergarten for 14 years.
Mrs. Lindemann has been married to Pastor Lindemann, who is Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in West Jacksonport and Christ Lutheran Church in Liberty Grove. They have been blessed with four sons. Jason – 23, Jared – 21, Jonas – 19, and Jackson – 17. One of her favorite activities is watching her boys play baseball. She also enjoy going for walks, reading, and watching movies.
Mrs. Lindemann grew up wanting to be a teacher and love working with Jesus’ lambs of any age! Her favorite Bible verses are from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
MRS. BETH VERTZ
Mrs. Vertz is very honored to be teaching the students of Zion Lutheran School about the love of their Savior.
Mrs. Vertz graduated from DMLC in 1989. The Lord has blessed her with teaching opportunities for 12 years. She has taught grades Pre-K-4th grade.
Since graduation until now, Mrs Vertz became a mother of three: Laura, Michael, and Sara. All are grown and married. She also ran her own "In Home" daycare for 10 years watching over 40 children. Mrs. Vertz also worked at a home for men with special needs and a city-run daycare. Last year, she worked in the Childcare Center at Zion on Mondays, and was a teacher's aid for a 4K classroom in the Sturgeon Bay School District.
Mrs. Vertz has been married to Pastor Tod Vertz for 27 Years.

Heidi has been married to her husband Mike for 36 years. She has 6 children and soon to be 9 grandchildren
While raising her kids, Heidi always seemed to have extras around. So she decided to get her certification for daycare from NWTC a few years ago and continues to work at Zion. Heidi is in love with the baby room.
MRS. DAWN HANOLD
Dawn has been married to Mitch Honold for 45 years and they have three children and nine grandchildren. Previously, she worked approximately 17 years in the title industry, but is now retired.
Working with the children, three days a week at Zion Lutheran Early Childcare Care, has given Dawn the opportunity to share the love of God and all that he has provided and done for us. She enjoys watching the children interact with each other and grow as individuals.
